The CAVE Art Gallery is seeking submissions for its art show “Sin?” a juried show that takes place in August. There is a $10 submission fee for up to three entries. The submission deadline for jpeg images is June 22. Notification of artist acceptance is June 30. The show runs Aug. 1 through 31. See artatthecave.com for more information.

Clark County Open Studio Tour is seeking submissions from artists who want to participate in the tour from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 3 and 4. Visual artists and artisans in Clark County are encouraged to apply for the juried event, which is a self-guided tour where people can visit artists in their homes and buy art. The application deadline is May 31. Learn more and apply at www.ccopenstudios.org.

The Cathlamet Art Festival is seeking vendors for its Aug. 3-4 festival. Interested vendors can find applications at www.tsugagallery.org, under the events tab. Vancouver Community Concert Band seeks all brass, woodwind and percussion players, active and retired. All abilities welcome, no audition required. The volunteer community band, along with its polka band, Dixieland Jazz Band and chamber ensembles, performs regularly around the area. Rehearsals are from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 11005 N.E. Highway 99, Vancouver. Vancouver Pops Orchestra seeks musicians who play orchestral instruments. The ensemble plays 20 assemblies each year in local grade schools. Rehearsals are from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays. The Clark County Arts Commission is seeking applicants for Clark County Poet Laureate. The application deadline is midnight May 18. To be eligible, you must currently reside in Clark County, should possess five years experience as a practicing poet, have a working knowledge of modern poetry practices and concepts, be active in the Clark County poetry scene, and have published three different collections of poetry (online or print). The Laureate is a two-year volunteer position, and you must be able to plan and participate in readings, classes, workshops and public speaking events. The Laureate also creates a project to help the poetry community and engage Clark County citizens. Submit applications to Annie Davern at davern.annie@gmail.com.
