Battle Ground — Firm Foundation Christian School hosted a local art fair April 23 in which roughly 40 students submitted art pieces they created during the current school year.

Six students were award “Best in Show” honors for receiving the highest score compared with other pieces in their grade level and being deemed to have a “superior score.”

The “Best in Show” honorees were: third-grader Brianna Portillo, fourth-grader Isabella McGraw, seventh-grader Elsa Helmes, eighth-grader Alison Bourne, ninth-grader Elise Wilson and 10th-grader Anna Huntsinger.

The works in the fair ranged from paintings to drawings to yarn weaving, and were produced under the supervision of Karla Merritt, the school’s art teacher.
