CAMAS — Journey Community Church, 304 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas, named Adrian Bucur as its new lead pastor starting on June 1. He had been the church’s associate pastor for less than two years.

Bucur received his master’s of divinity degree from George Fox University in Newberg, Ore. Prior to starting at Journey Community Church, a Christian church located downtown, he served as a chaplain for eight years. He also manages an adult foster care home in Camas. The church will hold a special service to introduce Bucur 10 a.m. Sunday at Liberty Theatre, 315 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas, where the public is invited to meet and celebrate.

“The Elder Board at Journey Community Church couldn’t be more pleased with the graceful transition in leadership with Adrian becoming our new lead pastor,” said Craig Spiegelberg, lead elder at the church. “We look forward to continuing to serve the people of Camas and the world, and to spreading the love of Jesus to our neighbors.”
