Letter: Schools need metal detectors

By Bo Schultz-Andersen, Vancouver

It seems so obvious that to stop the school shootings, we have to stop the guns coming to the schools. We go to sporting events or to the courthouse or concerts, and there is a metal detector which will discover guns and other metal objects, which can then be apprehended.

High schools and middle schools should have all exterior doors locked except for one or two doors which could be set up with a metal detectors and a school safety person in charge.

Isn’t a small inconvenience worth it to stop this mayhem?
