Clark County is offering coupons good for free disposal of up to 5 cubic yards of leaves through the end of 2018, according to a county news release.

The program is offered by the county and the city of Vancouver. Coupons can be downloaded from the county’s website, www.clark.wa.gov/public-works/leaf-disposal, and used at four locations:

• H & H Wood Recyclers, 8401 N.E. 117th Ave., 360-892-2805. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

• McFarlane’s Bark, 8806 N.E. 117th Ave., 360-892-6125. 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in November; and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday in December (closed Sunday in December).

• Triangle Resources, 612 S.E. Union St., Camas, 360-834-7253. 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Closed Saturday and Sunday.

• West Van Materials Recovery Center, 6601 N.W. Old Lower River Road, 360-737-1727. 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Closed Sunday.

Leaves must be emptied from bags at the disposal sites. Regular disposal fees apply to leaves mixed with other yard debris.

Other disposal options include applying leaves as winter mulch or using yard debris collection service available from Waste Connections of Washington.

The county reminds residents not to blow, rake, sweep or dump leaves onto streets, where they can block storm drains, cause flooding and create driving hazards. Blowing, raking, sweeping or dumping leaves onto county roads violates county code.

To help prevent flooding on neighborhood streets with relatively light traffic, residents can clear clogged storm drains by standing on a safe location away from traffic and using a rake or other garden tool to pull leaves from the path of flowing water.
