Letter: Wean U.S. off fossil fuels

I just read the Associated Press article “U.S. may again be world’s top oil producer” (Sept. 13, The Columbian). This is deeply concerning; we are clearly not innovating as a country to wean ourself off oil, and we don’t see our public leaders pushing to bring us to a brighter future rid of fossil fuels.

I urge our Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler and other members of Congress to take a stand against Big Oil for the sake of the people.
