A man sustained serious injuries at the Portland Saturday Market Sunday after a man allegedly attacked him, police said Sunday evening.

Officers found the victim lying down, with Good Samaritans tending to him, around 3 p.m., the Portland Police Bureau said. The man had “significant” but not life-threatening injuries and was taken to a Portland hospital by ambulance.

A man in the area matched the suspect’s description, police said, and officers arrested him.

Jon Moudy, 38, was booked in Multnomah County Jail and charged with second degree assault, a felony. His bail was set at $250,000.

Police ask that anybody with information about the incident contact Detective Shaye Samora at 503-823-0416.
