Suspected Longview drug traffickers arrested in Oregon

LONGVIEW — A Longview man and woman suspected of transporting large amounts of meth and heroin across state lines were arrested in Newport, Ore., early Tuesday morning according to the Newport Police Department.

The two were stopped by officers while driving and had their car searched. A “commercial” quantity of methamphetamine and heroin was found, according to the department.

Roberta Raenna Schafer, 32, was arrested on suspicion of the delivery, manufacturing, and possession of heroin and methamphetamine and a Washington felony warrant. Jonathan Tad Wilson, 35, was arrested on a Washington parole warrant. Both were booked into Lincoln County Jail.

Schafer has two prior drug convictions in Cowlitz County, while Wilson has six.
