Police seek help in locating missing 12-year-old Vancouver girl

Update: The Vancouver Police Department said later Thursday evening the girl was found safe.

The Vancouver Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 12-year-old girl.

Miriam Smith left home about 2:15 p.m. Thursday and had not yet returned, according to a police news release.

She’s described as 5 feet 2 inches tall, about 110 pounds, white with shoulder-length brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants with burgundy Vans shoes.

Anyone who sees Miriam or knows of her whereabouts should call 911, or if in Clark County, 311.
