I never thought I’d live to see a U.S. president refuse to honor our veterans as President Trump did last weekend. He shows more respect for our enemies in Russia and North Korea.
First, in a political move, he dispatched 5,000 soldiers to the border to protect us against a “horde” of men, women and babies still 1,000 miles south of the border trudging by foot to our border to request asylum. Those soldiers will be ineffective to stop the “horde” but will surely miss being with their families for Thanksgiving.
Then he flew to France where he didn’t bother to attend the World War I ceremonies because he didn’t want to get wet. That didn’t stop the other leaders, including the Germans.
When he returned home, he wouldn’t even travel the distance from the White House to Arlington National Cemetery, nor visit the National Mall where there are memorials to our military and statesmen.
