Holiday Closures

What’s open and what’s closed today:

• MAIL: Post offices open; mail delivered.

• GARBAGE: Thursday’s trash and recyclables in Vancouver and most of Clark County will be picked up today; today’s trash and recyclables will be collected Saturday. In Camas, Thursday’s trash and recyclables will be picked up Monday with Monday’s regular collections, and today’s trash and recyclables will be picked up with Tuesday’s collections.

• PUBLIC SCHOOLS: Closed.

• COLLEGES: No classes at Washington State University Vancouver and Clark College.

• GOVERNMENT: City, county and state offices closed. Federal offices open.

• PARKING METERS: On-street parking in Vancouver is free.

• LIBRARIES: Fort Vancouver Regional Library and Camas Public Library closed.

• BUSES: C-Tran and TriMet provide regular service.

• DRIVER’S LICENSING: Offices closed.

• VEHICLE LICENSING: Offices closed.

• CLARK PUBLIC UTILITIES: Offices open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For outages or emergencies, call 360-992-3000.

• ZOO: Oregon Zoo in Portland is open.

• BANKS: Open.

• FINANCIAL MARKETS: New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq and other markets close early, at 10 a.m. Pacific time.

• MARSHALL COMMUNITY CENTER: Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• FIRSTENBURG COMMUNITY CENTER: Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• CLARK COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM: Closed through Saturday.

• VANCOUVER MALL: Open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Department stores, restaurants, the theater, gym, and other store hours may vary. The library is closed.

• THE COLUMBIAN: Offices open. Circulation customer service, 360-694-2312, is available 4:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
