Letter: Support Long for Congress

By David Miller, Brush Prairie
Published: October 2, 2018, 6:00am

Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler needs to be replaced as our representative. She won’t hold true town halls or debate Carolyn Long. Her legislative record is passing tax bills that favor the super wealthy, protecting President Trump, and voting 80 times to repeal the Affordable Care Act with no replacement.

Even now her website touts high-risk pools as the solution to pre-existing conditions. High-risk pools don’t work, and I doubt she would put her child in one. The ACA needs adjustment, but insurance coverage for pre-existing conditions is something we have to maintain.

Vote for Carolyn Long as our new representative.
