Vancouver-based PeaceHealth has been recognized as one of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America, an award presented by the Healthiest Employers and Springbuk, a health-tracking software company based in Indianapolis.

The national award acknowledges the success of PeaceHealth’s employee wellness program at PeaceHealth facilities in Washington, Oregon and Alaska.

More than 1,000 top wellness programs across the country were evaluated for the award, which measures employee participation, health outcomes, leadership commitment and more, according to a PeaceHealth news release. PeaceHealth is one of 11 employers in the Pacific Northwest to earn the designation.

“At PeaceHealth, we believe wellness is contagious,” Susan Bruechner, PeaceHealth senior vice president and chief human resources officer, said in the news release. “We’re extremely proud of our program’s unique, holistic approach, and its ability to extend our culture of wellness to improve the health of the communities we serve.”

PeaceHealth facilities feature gyms, walking trails, flu shot clinics, healthy vending machines and discounted healthy food options.

PeaceHealth has approximately 16,000 caregivers, a group practice with more than 900 providers and 10 medical centers serving urban and rural communities throughout the Northwest.
