Woodland — Woodland Public Schools faculty and staff gathered Sept. 10 for an annual all-staff breakfast and collaborative meeting, where they reviewed their progress during the prior school year and discussed plans across the district for the upcoming year. The administrative team greeted new and returning staff members as they entered the Woodland High School gym, and Superintendent Michael Green opened the event by having each of the school administrators introduce their new faculty and staff members. Green also spoke about district goals for graduation and attendance. “By 2021, we want 85 percent of our students graduating on time from both Woodland High School and TEAM (High School), along with a 90-plus percent graduation rate for our five-year cohorts,” he said, adding that district officials hope to have all students attending class at least 90 percent of the time. The district was close in 2017-2018, with an attendance rate of nearly 89 percent.
