Candidate forums set for county, state races: The League of Women Voters of Clark County is once again hosting candidate forums for races on the November ballot. The races are broken up into three forums.
• At 5 p.m. Oct. 10, candidates for the 17th Legislative District, 18th Legislative District, Clark County Council Position 2 and Clark Public Utility District Commissioner District No. 1 will discuss issues at Clark Regional Wastewater District, 8000 N.E. 52nd Court, in Vancouver.
• The Clark County Council chair candidates will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Battle Ground Community Center, 912 E. Main St., in Battle Ground.
• Beginning at 5 p.m. Oct. 16, candidates for Clark County assessor, clerk and treasurer will join candidates for Clark County Council Position 1 and Vancouver City Council.
