Group: 83,000 in state have clean-energy jobs

OLYMPIA — Environmental Entrepreneurs, which identifies itself as a nonpartisan business group, says that about 83,000 residents work in the clean-energy sector.

The sector includes renewable energy, energy efficiency, clean vehicles, fuels and other industries, according to a news release.

The state ranks ninth in the country for wind industry jobs, 10th for renewable energy jobs and 13th for all clean energy jobs.
