Letter: Democratic senators stink

By James Williams, Vancouver

I’m a 67-year-old Vietnam veteran who hasn’t voted since Ronald Reagan was announced president. I generally don’t follow politics, but I’m confused as to how so many Americans lost their sense of reasoning. There’s an old saying: if it stinks, something’s not right.

What the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee have done is unethical and immoral. I watched both Christine Blasey Ford and Judge Brett Kavanaugh testify under oath. Her posturing, and the fact she said she had no knowledge of the offer from Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, plus other comments, led me to believe that her story has holes in it. Our two senators followed the rest of the lemmings; they poked the wrong bear.

I have now registered to vote and I ask all the people who, like me, haven’t voted in years to register and vote these people out of office.

I don’t believe that all Democrats are radical leftists or that all Republicans are far-right, but enough is enough.
