TACOMA — The FBI is investigating after a Puyallup tribal police officer fatally shot someone outside the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington.
KOMO reports that details about the early Tuesday incident were scarce.
Police so far have not said what led up to the shooting.
The Puyallup Tribe confirmed in a statement Tuesday afternoon that shooting occurred and said the tribal officer has been put on paid administrative leave during the investigation.
FBI agents were at the scene investigating, according to FBI spokeswoman Ayn S. Dietrich-Williams.
