The Woodland Police Department is investigating the theft of a 3-month-old puppy.

A boxer-Labrador retriever named Chaos was stolen from the 9500 block of Pacific Highway, according to a Facebook post by the Woodland Police Department.

Chaos was plucked from the front yard of a home on the highway Oct. 13, Sgt. Jim Keller said.

The puppy’s owner is heartbroken, Keller said, because when they got Chaos, he had a number of medical issues and had to be nursed back to good health. It wasn’t long after Chaos became well when he disappeared, he said.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the location of the puppy should call the police department’s non-emergency number at 360-225-8981 or send a message through its Facebook page.

The owner is offering a $300 reward for the puppy’s return.
