Clark County Parks plans seasonal trail restrictions in Whipple Creek Regional Park starting next week to preserve the park’s natural trails.

Starting Thursday, dirt trails will be open only to hikers and runners in the 300-acre park. The park’s gravel trails are open year-round to horseback riders and cyclists.

Clark County Parks will post signs at the park’s main entrance to explain the closure along with a trail system map.

Weather will determine when the trails open again in the spring.

Whipple Creek Park is just off Northwest 179th Street.
