Wildfires. Record high temperatures. Evacuations. This summer we’ve seen the closure of Yosemite National Park, fires in Glacier National Park, hiking trips rerouted due to heat, smoke in the Columbia River Gorge, and unhealthy air warnings. These are sobering realities and alarming signs of an accelerating climate crisis.
According to several reports, extreme weather events will become more frequent unless there is a reduction in carbon emissions.
