Letter: Support Initiative 1631

By Kristin Edmark, Battle Ground
Published: September 11, 2018, 6:00am

Initiative 1631 was written over the last few years by a coalition of over 200 community groups to be an equitable, practical first step to hold the state’s largest polluters accountable and to protect our air and water by promoting clean energy. Visit yeson1631.org for endorsements by unions, businesses, clean energy, health professional groups, faith organizations, tribal nations and more. I-1631 has built-in accountability. Initiative 1631 makes clean energy projects more affordable, which protects health while creating jobs and providing for cleaner air for our children. Vote yes on Initiative 1631.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
