Non-league football: Kelso 37, Heritage 14

Josh Webb rushed 16 times for 85 yards and three touchdowns as Kelso handed Heritage its first loss of the season in a battle of unbeaten teams.

Webb scored on runs of 8, 23 and 7 yards.

Heritage (2-1) was shutout until the fourth quarter; Kelso’s largest lead was 28-0.

Heritage coach Matt Gracey commended the Hilanders’ defense, and noted, “We have to go back to work.”

Heritage was also held to 56 yards rushing for the game. Starting quarterback Nikki Scott (knee) did not start Friday. Backup Skyler Skoggins finished 3 for 11 for 52 yards passing.

The Timberwolves’ Antonio Mata scored on a 6-yard run to make the score 28-7. The Timberwolves scored the last touchdown of the game on a 21-yard pass play from Jacob Zapeda to Jared Padley.
