Clark County firefighters extinguished a garage fire, the second such incident in two days, early Friday morning in the Felida area.

Three Fire District 6 engines were dispatched to the 14800 block of Northwest 21st Avenue at about 4:40 a.m. for the report of a house fire.

The first engine to arrive found fire on the exterior of a garage. A cargo trailer to the side of the garage was also burning, said fire department spokesman Dave Schmitke.

The homeowner met the firefighters outside their home and informed the responders that no one else was inside. He said two vehicles and a Harley Davidson motorcycle were in the garage, which were removed during the response, Schmitke said.

Firefighters had the blaze extinguished within eight minutes.

There was no damage to the home or the inside of the garage, according to Schmitke.

On Thursday morning, a fire ignited inside a garage in the Barberton area. It was fairly small, and firefighters quickly got it under control. The fire damaged some of the home’s exterior siding but did not appear to extend inside the house. The fire also damaged a car parked inside the garage.

The Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of both fires.
