A van veered off the road and rolled onto its top after crashing into a postal truck Wednesday afternoon in rural Clark County.

No one was seriously injured, Clark County sheriff’s Sgt. Alex Schoening said.

Deputies, medics and Clark County Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched at about 12:20 p.m. to the area of Northeast 82nd Avenue and 289th Street for a report of a traffic collision.

A postal truck was delivering to an address on 82nd Avenue and attempting to cross the road when it was struck by a southbound Toyota Sienna, Schoening said. The Toyota van left the roadway and continued into a small creek before rolling onto its top.

The driver of the postal truck refused medical treatment while the driver of the van was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Traffic investigators were not called to the scene as the crash did not involve serious injuries.

Deputies closed 82nd Avenue for about two hours after the crash, Schoening said.

He said he did not know if either driver was cited.
