3A GSHL football: Evergreen 45, Fort Vancouver 0

Eli Vaa-Leitataua returned to the opening kickoff 64 yard to set up his 16-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage to start the Plainmen on their way to a rout in their 3A Greater St. Helens League opener.

Vaa-Leiataua finished with 85 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

Evergreen’s two quarterbacks combined to throw for 202 yards and two touchowns. Rayn Preston was 5 for 5 for 127 yards, and Ryan Blaize was 5 for 7 for 75 yards.

On defense, Preston added an interception, as did Isiajah Griggs.

Niko Liufau led Fort Vancouver with 41 yards rushing.
