When Vancouver police begin ticketing the drivers of motorcycles, passenger cars, and semitrucks, then it will have more than an abundance of resources to do the city Green Spaces, business green spaces, and repairs to the damaged roads. In the four years that I have resided in an apartment along Mill Plain, I have yet to see reinforcement of the 25 mph posted speed from Lincoln Avenue to C Street.
The weekends are the worst as the noise from the pack of racing sports car drivers and motorcyclists reach speeds over 50 mph as they wind up their machines that reach sleep-interrupting decibels. These drivers move in a loop from Vancouver city center up to the merging roads of Mill Plain and Fourth Plain and back. I implore the city mayor and city council to hire police officers that can curtail the incessant speed-violating drivers.
