Prep highlights: Dunmire pitches Skyview past Heritage, 11-1

Senior Lowell Dunmire allowed two hits and struck out eight Heritage batters in Skyview’s 11-1 five-inning victory over Heritage in Thursday’s 4A Greater St. Helens League baseball game at Propstra Stadium.

Dunmire retired the final seven batters after allowing one earned run in the third.

Skyview scored 11 runs off seven hits, and plated seven runs in the fifth. Noah Guyette (2 for 4, 2 runs) and Tyler Howard (1 for 3) drove in a combined six runs.

• Jetzael Meza-Gonzalez, Seton Catholic boys soccer, had three goals and two assists in a 10-0 win over King’s Way Christian.

• Christian Martin, Seton Catholic boys soccer, had two goals and three assists for the Cougars.

• Peyton Westwick, Hudson’s Bay baseball, went 2 for 3 with a double, run and RBI in an 8-4 loss to Kelso.

• Shawn Child, La Center boys soccer, posted 13 saves in a loss to Trico-leader Toledo-Winlock.
