As of Friday, the IRS estimated, 50 million Americans had not filed their federal income tax returns with only a few days left before Monday’s deadline.

Frantic last-second filers can look forward to a little treat Monday afternoon: a free shaved ice courtesy of Kona Ice.

A Kona Ice truck will pass out frozen delights from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the downtown Vancouver post office, 1211 Daniels St.

Every year, Kona Ice hosts its national “Chill Out Day” on the final day to submit federal income tax returns because, as the company says, “there is no taxation without relaxation.”
