The governor has a security detail as he travels the state. That same detail should be used to accompany him on his out-of-state campaigning trips. No need to provide additional security people. Promoters or the campaign are responsible for security at campaign stops.
Using the same security detail, the only additional cost is travel. If Inslee and team travel out of state enough to spend $3.4 million dollars, Inslee should resign. People deserve an attentive governor, not one distracted by personal desire to become president. Washingtonians deserve better. If Inslee is the nominee, secret service protection will be assigned.
