Letter: Now is time to clean up property

By Joanne Walling, Vancouver

It’s April, and our weather is typical for this month. This is a good time for property owners to clean their property of all fuel for the forest fires that have been predicted this season. Being warned now will give people time to get their property cleaned up. Standing dead trees can be cut down and cut into length for firewood at our parks or for home use. Debris can be raked into piles to be burned or composted.

Clean up all underbrush to protect our property and homes from wildfires.
