Prep highlights: Harrison’s home run in the seventh lifts Ridgefield over Mark Morris

Brock Harrison hit a game-ending home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Ridgefield’s baseball team a 5-4 walk-off victory over Mark Morris in Friday’s 2A GSHL baseball game.

Harrison finished 1-for-3 and his solo home run to left field broke a 4-4 tie. Trystan Brown’s RBI single for Mark Morris tied the game at 4-all in the top half of the inning.

Josh Mansur and Jimmy Wallace each went 2-for-2 and combined for three runs scored. Wallace earned the win on the mound, throwing a complete-game four-hitter with seven strikeouts.

Stars of the day

• Marley Foster, Camas softball, went 4 for 4 with three runs scored and two RBI in a 10-4 win over Heritage.

• Kaia Oliver, Ridgefield softball, struck out 13 Columbia River batters in a 5-inning no-hitter in Ridgefield’s 10-0 win.

• Sydney Brown, Mountain View softball, allowed one hit and struck out 11 Evergreen batters in a 11-1 league win over the Plainsmen.

• Kassidy Davenport, Battle Ground softball, went 2 for 4 with a triple and an RBI in the Tigers’ league win over Union.

• Kaelani Gamble, Union softball, went 3 for 4 with four RBI in a loss to Battle Ground.

• Lincoln Krog, Stevenson boys track and field, won the high jump (6-4), long jump (20-11), triple jump (44-5.50) and finished second in the 100 meters (11.36 seconds) at the Bruin Invitational in White Salmon.

• Jace Wilson, Ridgefield boys soccer, posted eight saves in a 2-1 Spudders win over R.A. Long.

• Andres Lopez-Garcia, Mountain View boys soccer, notched two assists in a 5-1 Thunder win over Evergreen.

• Christopher Grozav, Mountain View boys soccer, scored two goals in a 5-1 win to keep the Thunder unbeaten in league play.

• Alex Bishop, Woodland boys track and field, set a Kalama Twilight record winning the high jump at 6-5.

• Trey Knight, Ridgefield boys track and field, set a McMinnville Invitational record winning the hammer throw (208-4). Knight also won the shot put and discus.
