The kids were challenged to build a rocket that could hold a cookie and keep it safe from launch through landing. In addition, participants in the event got a chance to learn how an idea goes from concept to production as well as play with trebuchet cookie catapults among other activities.

Sigma Design of Camas opened its doors Thursday not only to its engineers and others at the product design firm, but also to the children of its employees.

Like workplaces all around Clark County and elsewhere, Sigma Design held Take Your Child To Work Day activities. The kids were challenged to build a rocket that could hold a cookie and keep it safe from launch through landing, among other activities. Participants also got a chance to learn how an idea goes from concept to production as well as play with trebuchet cookie catapults.
