In an audit of the city of Vancouver, Washington State Auditor Pat McCarthy found no major issues with the city’s budgeting and accounting procedures.
McCarthy’s opinion, released July 30, applied to all government activities undergone by the city in the 2018 calendar year.
“In our opinion,” the audit report stated, the financial information provided to McCarthy’s office “present fairly, in all material respects, the respective financial position of the governmental activities, the business-type activities, the aggregate discretely presented component units, each major fund and the aggregate remaining fund information of the city of Vancouver.”
Clark County Public Utility District No. 1 was also the subject of a review and was found to have no major deficiencies.
