Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency will host an online emergency preparedness game during September.

The 30 Days, 30 Ways Preparedness Challenge will prompt players daily to complete short preparedness tasks, according to a news release from the county’s dispatch center.

Each day at 7 a.m., players will receive a challenge and submit replies to the tasks through Facebook, Twitter or email. Players can choose which days they wish to participate and catch up on challenges they’ve missed. This year, participants can “level up” and recruit “allies” to complete the challenges with them, according to the news release.

Submissions will be judged for creativity, relevance to the task and online popularity, the dispatch center said. Selected winners will earn Amazon gift cards in October. Game rules can be found online, on Twitter or on Facebook.

CRESA created the contest in 2010 and has recorded more than 40,000 completed tasks from players in 44 states, one territory and 38 countries. The game is part of the 14th annual National Preparedness Month. This year’s theme is “Prepared Not Scared.”
