Vancouver-based Burgerville announced Monday it has rolled out its new tipping program at several Clark County locations: the Heights, Vancouver Plaza, Heritage Center, Fisher’s Landing, Orchards, Battle Ground and Woodland.

The program is an upgrade to the burger chain’s point-of-sale system that allows customers to tip employees using cash or credit cards. Tipping options debuted at two initial Burgerville locations July 8 and 11, and was extended to several additional restaurants July 29, including Cascade Park, Central Park, Camas and Hazel Dell.

All 41 of the chain’s Washington and Oregon locations are expected to allow tipping by Sept. 9, the company said in a press release. Tips are shared equally among all hourly employees at each location.

Burgerville also recently announced it would begin offering holiday pay on seven holidays. The changes come as the company is in the midst of contract negotiations with the Burgerville Workers Union.
