Outdoor Art Walk with Changing Rock and Ice Sculptures, through Dec. 14. Erin Dengerink has created a series of temporary rock and ice sculptures on the trails at Columbia Springs which will slowly transform as time passes. Columbia Springs, 12208 S.E. Evergreen Highway, is a 100-acre natural area providing educational programming. Viewing hours are 5 to 8 p.m. daily. www.columbiasprings.org

“Material Matters,” through Dec. 21. This exhibit features artists from the local chapter of the Surface Design Association (SDA), including Mary Arnold, Bonnie Bucknam, Donna Joslyn, Sally Sellers, Sharon Svec and Marie Wolfe. “Different Views of Several Landscapes,” through Dec. 23, features artwork by Jeffrey Opp and Paul Solevad. Opp’s photos demonstrate how life extends beyond its own subjective limits. “Unwrap the Gift of Art,” through Dec. 28. An art show and sale by Mosaic Arts Alliance. Angst Gallery, 1015 Main St., Vancouver, is open from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. “A Focus on the Figure,” through Dec. 28. This group show features work by four award-winning artists: oil painters Emily Schultz-McNeil and Joanne Shellan, art and design teacher and mixed media artist Carrie Vielle and impressionist oil painter and animator Yer Za Vue. The exhibit gives insight into how individual artists interpret the human figure in their paintings. Art on the Boulevard, 210 W. “Whispers in the Wind,” through January. This exhibit features 12-inch squares of fiber art by members of the quilting group Vagabonds, including Ada Levins, Joanne Adams Roth, Wilma Fletcher Scott, Audrey Prothero, Karan Brooks, Sharry Olmstead, Lynn Czaban, Beverly Woodard and Val Pellens.Second Story Gallery, upstairs in the Camas Public Library, 625 N.E. “Kevin Peters: Redefining Past and Present,” through Feb. 15, features art by Nez Perce artist Kevin Peters. His most coveted pieces are traditional works such as quilts, headdresses, and buckskin and rawhide items. His works honor past artists while reflecting contemporary Nez Perce culture. “Twist,” through Feb. 28. This exhibit features the work of Sherry Saele and Krista Anara Cibis, tweaking traditional forms of fiber arts and using techniques such as weaving, needle point, jewelry making, and other processes that cross back and forth from craft to art to practical handiwork.
