Big scoring efforts from Kyle Gruhler and Jace Chatman got the Skyview boys basketball team back on the winning track with a 65-58 win over Jackson on Saturday at Mill Creek.

Gruhler scored a game-high 25 points plus had six rebounds, and Chatman scored 15 of his 22 points in the second half for the Storm (1-1).

“We needed a bounce-back game and this was a good challenge against a team that is picked among the top 10,” Skyview coach Matt Gruhler said, noting the season-opening loss to Evergreen on Thursday.

The Storm raced out to a 22-11 lead after the first quarter with six 3-pointers.

“We did a good job sharing the ball, getting it to an open shooter,” Matt Gruhler said. “It started us in the right direction.”
