Clark County is seeking applicants to fill three positions on the nine-member committee that advises the county on bicycle and pedestrian planning and funding.

The Clark Communities Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee also offers suggestions for implementing the county’s bicycle and pedestrian master plan and reviews road construction and private development projects for bicyclist and pedestrian safety.

Two positions are for adults who will serve four-year terms. The third is for a youth representative, age 11 to 20, who will serve a one-year term.

Residents living anywhere in Clark County can apply. People with expertise in advocating for biking, walking and transit, as well as those with public speaking skills and previous experience serving on boards and commissions, are encouraged to apply.

Meetings typically are 6-8 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Public Service Center in downtown Vancouver. Other meetings and activities may require an additional four to six hours per month.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest to Tina Redline in the Clark County Manager’s Office, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000. Applicants also can send information by email, tina.redline@clark.wa.gov, or fax, 360-397-6058.

Application deadline is 5 p.m. Dec, 27.
