Girls basketball: Battle Ground 53, Evergreen 29

BATTLE GROUND 53, EVERGREEN 29: The Tigers used a 15-0 run to start the fourth quarter to break open the non-league home game and earn the victory. Megan Geiger scored 18 points to go with her nine steals as the head of the full-court press.

Mallory Meyer added 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Tigers, who improve to 2-3.

Keyonna Canda went 3 of 6 from long-range to score nine points for the Plainsmen. Coraleigh Speer also scored nine points for the Plainsmen, which won the battle of the boards 39-31. Lilyanna Glenn led Evergreen with eight rebounds.
