Letter: Give thanks; things are good

Russia! Russia! Russia!

Today unemployment is at its lowest rate since 1969.

Poverty is at its lowest rate since 2001.

Hourly wages are at a 10-year high, while full-time workers are earning 3 percent more than they were last year.

Violent crime is down 51 percent since 1993, while the incarceration rate is also at a two-decade low.

These are truly trends to be thankful for, yet the media hyenas scream “Trump collusion, Trump racism, MAGA, poverty, right wing, gun violence, yadda yadda yadda!”

All the better to fool you with, my dears.

We have the First Amendment, which allows the media to spew drivel, and the National Education Association to mold once-bright, intelligent children to be naive consumers of that drivel.

This Thanksgiving, a few were giving thanks for, as George Washington put it, “the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be,” while some others may have given thanks simply for the good fortune of being American.

Many are following the path to destruction, seduced by the siren song of socialism.

Ukraine! Ukraine! Ukraine!
