Girls basketball: Kelso 69, Woodland 34

KELSO 69, WOODLAND 34 — The Hilanders turned a 26-20 halftime lead into a runaway non-league home win.

Kelso outscored Woodland 22-2 in the final frame. Alexis Kleven finished with 14 points, Madison Harkins finished with career-high 13 points and Natalie Fraley dished a career-high 14 assists for the Hilanders.

Woodland’s Lucy George finished with eight points and 13 rebounds and Kelly Sweyer had five points, five assists and three steals. Kaija Olson paced the Beavers with 14 points.

“I think I just rode my five starters too long,” Woodland coach Glen Flanagan said. “We were worn out.”
