Downtown Vancouver comic book store I Like Comics, 1715 Broadway, has announced a new date for a planned comic-book signing featuring the six leaders of Portland-based Image Comics, the comic industry’s third-largest publisher.

The Image leaders are all well-known comic creators, including “The Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman and “Spawn” creator Todd McFarlane.

The free event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 11. The event was announced last month and initially planned for Dec. 10, but Image Comics was forced to postpone after two of the creators came down with the flu.

Visitors will be limited to one signed item per creator; no photo opportunities will be allowed.

Attendees can visit the store in advance to obtain a free ticket to guarantee a place in line, although a ticket is not required to get signatures. Ticket holders must arrive by 10 a.m. Jan. 11 to secure a place in line. Tickets issued for the previous date are valid, according to a Facebook event page for the signing.
