Boys basketball: La Center 70, Morton-White Pass 48

Hunter Ecklund scored 20 points, Parker Ball added 16 and the Wildcats cruised to a win at home.

Ecklund scored 10 points in the third quarter. Ball had eight assists and hit five 3-pointers in the first half, which ended with La Center ahead 40-25.

Next weekend, La Center (6-0) heads to the SunDome Shootout in Yakima for a showdown against defending 1A state champion Zillah, which beat the Wildcats in last season’s semifinals.
