There was simply no stopping Fort Vancouver’s Kahlil Singleton on Sunday.

The sophomore guard scored a school record 55 points, including all 29 of Fort’s first-half points, in a overtime loss to Corvallis, Ore., at the Fort Vancouver Holiday Tournament.

“Kahklil just played out of his mind,” Fort coach James Ensley said. “They threw double-teams at him, it didn’t matter. He was on a heater.”

Singleton hit nine 3-pointers, including one that forced overtime.

But Fort Vancouver had no answer for Corvallis’ 7-foot-3 post Jasper Reinalda, who scored 34 points.

“He just sat in the key and dunked on us all day,” Ensley said.
