Washougal sweeps at 2A subregional wrestling

Seton Catholic has five champions at 1A subregional

The Washougal girls and boys wrestling teams swept to title at the 2A subregional wrestling tournament in Hockinson.

The Washougal girls beat Union 230-198. Melina Aguilar (130) and Emily Eakins won titles for the Panthers. Also winning were Ashlyn Daugherty of Woodland (105), Allison Blaine (135) of Hudson’s Bay, Seton Catholic’s Amanda Fry (155) and Union’s Kayla Brosius (115), Riley Aamold (125) and Envee Sakhoeun-Hem (145) and Annabelle Helm (170).

In 2A boys, Woodland’s Judeah Sanders (113), Anthony Clifford (145) and Andrew Pottratz (285) and Hockinson’s Aidan Mallory (170) won titles.

Seton Catholic’s Paul Vidales (113), Ian Campbell (132), Elijah Volk (138), CJ Hamblin (145) and Isaac Washington (152) won 1A subregional titles.

No other results were reported from the 2A boys subregional in Hockinson, or the 1A subregional in Castle Rock.
