RIDGEFIELD — Usually on the first Friday of each month, Karen Moses’ fourth grade class at South Ridge Elementary School celebrates its First Friday Friendship Fiesta with a big potluck in the classroom. During an art class, they made yarn Christmas trees and created handmade cards to give to the seniors as gifts. At the fiesta, each student was paired with a senior and visited with them for a half an hour, then presented gifts and sang a song.
