Hazen seized control with a big third quarter and the Storm could not quite real the Highlanders in, missing a couple of late 3-pointers in a 4A bi-district loser-out game.
“I don’t know if it was the drive or what, but we were sluggish all game,” Skyview coach Brett Johnson said. “Just a step behind. They came out tough in the third quarter, and we just let them score.”
Hazen outscored Skyview 20-7 in the third to take a 41-30 lead.
The Storm (17-7) pulled with three points late but missed a game-tying 3-pointer. Skyview fouled Hazen, which missed the free throw. But one last 3-pointer was off the mark.
Madde Hendricks paced the Storm with 16 points.
