Letter: Library grows with Ridgefield

The recent article about the growth in Ridgefield (“Growing Ridgefield strives to avoid pains,” Feb. 10) was most informative. Many people in Ridgefield read it and finally understood some of the reasons things have happened the way they have. With such rapid growth and changes, it can be difficult to keep a sense of community.

One place in Ridgefield has community as its middle name. This entity was not in the recent article but certainly could have been. The Ridgefield Community Library has been a hub for a long time. Thanks to the generous donation of the Ridgefield Community Center Board and other donors, the library is growing to almost 11,000 square feet. This renovation begins late spring this year.
