Vancouver-based Council for the Homeless issued a severe weather alert Wednesday that runs Sunday through Monday, March 4.

This alert prompts local emergency homeless shelters to expand capacity as needed and asks warming centers, such as Living Hope Church and the Washougal Community Center, to open if possible.

The National Weather Service’s extended forecast for Vancouver shows low temperatures hovering around freezing. Those needing shelter should call the Housing Solutions Center at 360-695-9677. More information about warming centers can be found at 211info.org/WarmingCenters#Clark.
